A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #33

Let's say I am late in posting this one because of the end of the world...

Technically it is almost true!

I made this one out of a publicity I received on a Christmas card before leaving for my last class of the program yesterday morning, thinking I would have time to take a picture between then and the projection of my boyfriend short film along with all the other who participated in the "end of the world movie film festival" the shooting of which made me lose 2 bunnies last weekend. I did get back home for a whopping 20 minutes between my class and the projection (well the restaurant before to be accurate ;p) but the flash batteries were empty...

So I finished it yesterday and here it finally is!

See you later today for #34!

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #32

Who said you need to pay to put plastic decoration in your house when a little bit of work and originality can create easy and fun decoration. Make bows out of ribbons, tie candy cane on a string and use them as a garland or fall back to the old paper garland technique. There are many free pattern available on the web and you can use your wrapping paper leftover to make these!

I used a thin strip of wrapping paper to make this one, it could have been a bit thicker but it's the only one I had on hand and it still look fun!

What do you use to decorate your home: handmade or bought decorations? Let me know here!

See you tomorrow for #33!

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #31

I am the Green Bunny!

Although I don't plan on working with those on every day... But do you think I should wear them to events?

These are made of fleece sown on a thin metal wire and attached to a metal headband for extra durability.

See you tomorrow for #32!

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #30

Well, after the trouble of this weekend, I am back with a Christmasy bunny!

This hair barrette bunny is made out of felt made of recycled plastic bottles.

I hope you like it!

See you tomorrow for #31!

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Days #28 & 29

You might have noticed that I didn't produce any bunnies on the 15 & 16 of December, we will call those 2 lost in action.

I had an event on both days from 11:00 to 6:00 (which means I was there from 9:00 until 6:30). That would have still been ok, but I was alone both days and got home to a short movie shooting in my own apartment... I was aware of it since by boyfriend was directing it, but that means that instead of going to bed, I helped as I could on Saturday, got to bed at 3:00 am, got to my event the following morning with less than 5 hours of sleep in me, did the event and got back home at 7:30 pm to cook some food and try to make our apartment look like a habitable place again!

I do not know if you ever was close to a film shooting but one thing is for sure, there is a lot of moving of furniture involve in a real apartment (as opposed to decor) to make room for the camera, lights and all...

So after we had eaten and replaced most of the stuff to their proper place, I just went to bed!

There will be 2 more bunnies added to the end of the 365 days to make up for these 2 poor little bunnies lost in action and one a bit later on tonight as I am still working on it!

See you soon!

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #27

I was trying to find a way to make small green bunny decoration for my table for this weekend's event... Turn out nicely but takes too much time to make... Oh well! Better luck next time I guess! It still makes a cute little green bunny.

It is made of a tiny piece of green fleece sown by hand. The picture shows it laying against the lens cap of the camera so you can actually see how small it is.

See tomorrow with another bunny!

Thursday 13 December 2012

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #26

A new fun and practical bunny for today!

This pink bunny bag is made of leftover pink fabric I bought to make a costume, the lining is made of recycled cotton fabric, the face details are made out of felt made from recycled plastic bottles and the flower of recycled synthetic fabric heated to make it curl with a bead of pink quartz as center.

It is not ironed yet, hence the wrinkles, but they will go away easily and I'll update the pictures. I'm leaving to see The Hobbit soon so better pictures tomorrow ;p

Unfortunately, it is too time consuming to make it one of my new item, I have this one and this is it! Let me know here or on Facebook if you are interested in this one.

See you tomorrow for #27!

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #25

How about a tasty bunny for tonight?

This marvelous dessert bunny is made from a thick molasses cookie, the ears and legs are made out of clementine sections and the eyes and tail from frozen blueberry. The bunny dessert is eating a piece of celery to balance with all this sugar ;p

See you tomorrow for #26, a new practical bunny!

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #21

Even after a full day of event I didn't forgot that I had a bunny to do. But the ideas I was tempted to work on were way too long for the short time I had left before the days end.

My boyfriend had went out to get some food for supper to let me the time to make my bunny and when he came back I told I had yet to find an idea that didn't require too much time. I told him, among other things, that I had a few masks ideas and one bunny bag idea. He thought I had said bunny "bague", which is the French word for ring and it inspired me to make this lovely little thing:

Bunny ring is made of a bronze adjustable ring base with a green felt bunny (the felt is made of recycled plastic bottles) and 3 seed beads create his eyes and nose.

I hope you like him!

Should I add him and fellow bunnies (in other color) on my website? Let me know what you think!

See you tomorrow for a new one, perhaps one of those I drew today... Who knows!

Don't miss another one, drop by my Facebook page to follow them all!

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #19

One complex, one easy, makes sense, no? Especially since I was in class all day and had some other things to take care of when I got home.

So here is my modified wood box to make a fun display at fairs, right now it contains my dragon pendants!

I used an old wine gift box made of wood and padded the inside of the cover with black fabric, added a green bunny to match the box with my brand and hanged two pendants on it. I will add a sign with the price tomorrow and I'm ready to display these!

For those of you in the Montreal area, you will be able to see that fun display at my next fair, this coming Saturday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Mini-Comiccon.

See you tomorrow for my next bunny, the 20th!

And drop by to like my Facebook page (if you haven't already) and to get a chance at my next contest which will be very soon as it will be held as soon as I reach 200 likes, now I'm at 196!

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #18

Would you look at that! I completed my bunny earlier today, not that it shows much as I had to wait for my boyfriend to get home to take the picture ;p

So here is, as promised, a cute and practical bunny, and in a Christmasy fabric too!

This cute apron is made with green fabric with white bows that was brought to me at an event from a lady who couldn't sow and had gotten a bag full of Christmas fabric from her mother. The solid green part are made with the leftover fabric I had bought to make a Link hat. And the bunnies are made with felt made out of recycled plastic bottles.

It gave me the opportunity to test a new setting on my overlock machine too.

See you tomorrow for another bunny!

Facebook bunnies are here!

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #17

Ok, this is another one of those night when my bunny idea came in too late for me to be able to make it in time, and so I needed another one of those last minute bunnies!

So here is sparkly bunny:

Yellow bunny drinking from a sea of pearls sitting on a sparkly beach! (kinda ;p)

I do have a wonderful idea for tomorrow though, can't wait to see the finish result!

See you tomorrow for my cute and practical bunny! Don't want to miss it? Follow it here!

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #16

Sometimes I get sooo absorbed in my work that I even forget to eat. Today was one of those days where I nearly forgotten to make my bunny.

Then I was getting ready to peel an apple (which is the only way I can eat them now, otherwise I can't digest them) and I realized it was getting late and I had no bunny. The fact that my apple was green might have helped me to remember too.

Anyways, here is my apple bunny:
It was a very good apple bunny!

See you tomorrow for my 17th! Either here or on Facebook. ^.~

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #15

How about a ghost bunny tonight?!

Actually, it is of course me having fun with a flashlight in front of the camera, but I love how it turned out! And there is no editing to the picture, except a bit of cropping ;p

See you tomorrow for a 16th bunny!

You can also follow them on Facebook!

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #14

I had promised you a cuter bunny for today, but I was pressed for time as I am going to meet some friends shortly and don't know when I'll be back, meaning my bunny had to be completed before that!

So I started early this morning to draw, cut and dye these precious little ones.

Made with vegetal leather (real cow leather tanned with traditional techniques using tree barks and herb instead of chrome and other chemical products), dyed with eco-friendly water based dye and decorated with 3 small amazonite beads and one larger larvikite bead.

Hope you like them!

I am thinking of starting a small line of these in various color, let me know what you think of that plan!

Bunnies are on Facebook~

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #13

Now for the dreaded 13th bunny!

What could I do for a 13th bunny that would be appropriate and not too long to make?

Well an evil bunny crossing sign of course:

Evil bunny crossing sign is made of felt made out of recycled plastic bottles.

See you tomorrow for a friendly-er bunny!

Facebook bunnies are here.

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #12

Time for a new quick fun bunny before I go faint on my bed after a long day of class with the flu!

So here is my cork bunny:

Cork bunny is, well, made of cork! I have been gathering corks for a while now and since I couldn't think of anything tonight, I had fun creating a bunny out of them.

Hope you like him!

See you tomorrow for the dreaded bunny #13! [insert scary music here]

To make sure you don't miss the 13th bunny, you can keep an eye for him on Facebook.

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #11

Time to finally show you what I have been working on for the last 2 days!

So here is my awesome snow globe bunny:

Snow globe bunny is made of an outer shell composed of an old glass jar, the handmade bunny, formed out of eco-friendly plastic-like material, is painted red, covered with several layers of varnish, glued to the lid and then inserted in the jar previously filled with water and sprinkled with a generous dose of "snowflakes" cut out of an old tea bag.

Hope you enjoy this easy* to do Christmas decoration!

You can follow my bunnies on Facebook is you so wish.

*As long as you use an existing figure to put inside, it is easy and quick enough ;p

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #10

This is already getting a recurrent theme, but my bunny I've worked so much to complete today is still drying... Which means I, yet again, had to improvise.

Considering my hands were already quite tired of today's work, I wasn't able to work on something complex nor did I had the energy for it as it now seems pretty sure that I won't avoid the cold that's been trying to get me for the last couple of days...

So here is my very simplistic wire bunny!

Wire bunny is made of one piece of aluminium wire and, I have to admit, very few thoughts.

For your patience, you'll get an awesome bunny tomorrow!

So see you soon for bunny #11!

My bunnies on Facebook!

And for the very curious, my other pieces of the day on Facebook as well.

Monday 26 November 2012

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #9

It's time to finally present to you my bunny of the day, which was suppose to be completed yesterday...

So I present to you by awesome bunny necklace:

I soooo wish I could keep it and wear it, but again I used the same metal components to which I am quite allergic so someone else will have the pleasure of wearing this piece, perhaps for this coming Christmas?! Made with 38 smooth garnet and black agate briolette, whoever wears this piece will sure stand out!

You will have noticed that I used the same bunnies on this one than on my bracelet from 3 days ago. It is intended as such since I couldn't help but think it would make a lovely necklace when I was looking at my bracelet, sitting in a small box on my table Saturday at my last event.

I will add it to Etsy tomorrow and will add the link here, anyone who would want it before that is welcome to make me a sign either here, by email or on Facebook.

See you tomorrow for bunny #10!

Sunday 25 November 2012

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #8

Today I had a complex piece planned for you, but it is still drying.

Therefore my boyfriend suggested that I draw a wet bunny for today's bunny, which was a good idea.

The rendering is far from perfect, but here it is nonetheless:

And I will complete my complex piece tomorrow, so be sure to check back to see it!

Follow my bunnies on Facebook.

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #7

After one long day at an event without any food (since I forgot my lunch and had no helper today), I could only think of things when I got home: food and sitting down!

Hence my very tasty bunny friends, who actually look like they enjoy the heat as much as I do:

Before cooking... healthy bunny!

After cooking... heatstroke bunnies!

I'll add the recipe tomorrow, I'm so tired I will make a mistake for sure if I write it down tonight!

See you tomorrow for a new, prettier bunny!

My Facebook bunnies.

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #6

It's that time of the day again when I unveil to you my new addition to the wonderful world of bunnies!

Today, I had more free time on my hand and was able to work on a more elaborate piece featuring, of course, a cute little bunny!

So without further ado, here's today's piece:

Sparkling bracelet with 25 small round garnets, a chain adorned with garnet wrapping the little finger, a flower toggle clasp and a cute little bunny in a lovely silver setting! You just feel regal wearing that piece, trust me!

Unfortunately for me, the shiny silver component I used are not sterling silver and therefore I cannot wear it as I am allergic to most metal. And it already found a new owner, not 24 hours after completing it! I will work on new ones soon that I will add to Etsy. Otherwise, you can always drop me a line to request another one and/or with different stones / different center piece.

In the meantime, I'll shop for sterling silver component to make one for myself!

See you tomorrow for a new bunny!

My bunnies are also on Facebook.

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #5

After a day in class and a surprise 2 minutes presentation of my business in front of said class I had almost forgotten that I still needed to find the idea for my daily bunny.

Almost forgotten! Luckily, the day I decided to start that challenge, I wrote down a few ideas for those days when I will be stuck and won't have a clue of what to do next. I have to admit that I already used a few and will have to brainstorm to replenish it in the next couple of weeks.

Anyways, for now I still have some ideas to "unstuck" me on difficult days and I have a funny little bunny and it's friends to show you:

I picked up sea shells near Rimouski last time I was there in the summer and I looked through them tonight to find a nice large one to draw a magnificent bunny. Then I found the one I used, with that strange greenish band and decided to build a funny little thing around it instead. I've added some green lines to separate the small hill the greenish band become, added a few flowers for a summer looking effect and had fun filling out the small white space on the left with bunnies looking out at a newcomer.

Again a very simple one, but I hope you like it nonetheless!

See you tomorrow for the new bunny in the group!

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #4

It was a very odd day today; started very early (for me at least) at 6:00 am to go to the hospital do pulmonary tests. They had been in my agenda for quite a while and I knew the possible and plausible outcome but it still left me pretty exhausted; after almost 2 hours of tests using different strange apparatuses it seem even more likely that I do have asthma, I could've done without... But I will know for sure in about 2 weeks, when I see the doctor again ><

That being said, I came home ready to get back to bed only to discover my neighbors had decided to start an "impromptu" band practice (they to this at least 3-4 times a week and they are not very good, or at least the part that arrives in my apartment isn't). So rolling back to bed wasn't an option with the bass and drum making the floor shake but I was too exhausted to think much, except to plan supper!

So I bring you a yummy bunny tonight:

And he was very yummy! Made with Thai glutinous rice, details of spiced nori, served with cucumber salad and red pork, miam!

See you tomorrow for bunny #5!

And my Facebook album is slowly filing up ^.^

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #3

So, after my extremely easy bunny from yesterday night, I wanted to make something bigger and better for today's bunny.

Since I had to make a pink elephant hat anyways (special request ;p), I thought I might as well cut more fleece and make a new and improved bunny hat (I have another design, but I wasn't completely satisfied with the face details and length of ears).

So I present to you bunny #3:

Winter hat in pink fleece!

Enjoy!

And do not hesitate to let me know if you would want one, this way for the Etsy listings or if it makes you think of something else, I love special requests!

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #2

Today, I had it all planed... and it didn't work out...

Then I found another idea, started it and realized it would take way more time that I had...

So I had to come up with a third idea, it was already getting pretty late and I wasn't sure what do to. But I wasn't about to give up on my second day! While cutting lemon slice to put in our water glass after supper, I looked at one slice and thought the 2 seeds looked like 2 eyes. So I started cutting and decorating my Super Citrusy Bunny:

Not very complex, but I was running out of time with only about 2 hours left to my second day. But don't worry, you'll see plenty of complex ones too, just not tonight. ^.~

See you tomorrow for the 3rd one!

A Bunny A Day Challenge - Day #1

I have been thinking and tried once before to follow the "create one thing everyday for a year challenge".

After failing the first time because my objective was too time consuming, I have decided to start again with One Bunny a day challenge!

My own objective is simple, starting today and for the next 364 days, I will create one bunny a day, take a picture and post it here, on my french blog and on my Facebook page. Some of them will be durable, some of them won't, some extremely complex, some childishly simple but all will be different, a representation or another of a bunny and will be created (or at least completed) the day of the picture.

So without further ado, here is my first bunny for the Bunny a day challenge:

I thought it was only fitting that my first bunny would be an origami one, and green at that. It also enables me to announce that, although it is cute, I won't be able to add that folding to my origami collection, it just takes too much time to make, sorry folks ;p

Come back tomorrow for the next one and/or keep an eye on this Facebook album for the new one:

Big changes coming soon!

Hello everyone!

After many months of testing and math, I have to face the fact that some of my collections that I am fond of don't attract the attention I want and are therefore not worth the time I attributed to them (at least not yet). So I must tell you that at the Comiccon (14 to 16 September), all pieces of some of my collections will be on sale at 50% off and I will not make these pieces until further notice, except for custom orders.

This is an opportunity to get a quality piece at a great price and just in time for school!

The following collections will, until further notice, be removed from my inventory as soon as I sold the remaining pieces I have in stock:

Xiii (leather pieces of medieval inspiration)
Copper Fallout (steampunk inspired pieces with recycled watch pieces, with the exception of the cufflinks and tie clips)
Funky Media (pieces made of recycled 35mm movie film strip)

Now, the main inspiration behind each of my pieces will be the different Asian cultures, in all their forms (traditional as well as anime and video games). So you will still find my origami pieces, my hair sticks and various new hair accessories and some new surprises that will be announced shortly.

I hope to see you at Comiccon!
